Add audio and folders
Link local or iCloud Drive folders, scan supported audio, and keep source files protected.
Audely builds its library from folders you choose. It reads audio in place and records a separate library entry for each imported episode.
Add a source folder
Mac
- Open Audely › Settings.
- Select Library.
- Add a folder and choose it in the system folder picker.
- Allow the initial scan to finish before reviewing the imported shows.
iPhone and iPad
- Open Settings inside Audely.
- Choose Library.
- Add or link a folder through the system file picker.
- Keep iCloud Drive files downloaded when you expect to listen offline.
Local folders and iCloud Drive
A local folder exists only on that device. An iCloud Drive folder may appear on several devices, but every device still needs its own permission to access it. Audely does not sync folder permissions or absolute file locations.
Scan a source again
Use the source’s scan or refresh action after adding, moving, or changing audio inside a linked folder. A source scan is a local file operation. It is separate from cross-device library sync.
Remove a source safely
Removing a source from Audely removes the app’s access and associated library relationship. It does not delete the original folder or audio files.
If a folder moves
Relink the source to its new location. Audely uses library identity and matching information to reconnect episodes where possible without rewriting their established identities.
If episodes remain unavailable, see Troubleshooting.
