This policy covers the Audely apps and website. Audely collects no analytics. Audely requires no separate Audely account and has no advertising, tracking, or profiling. Audely does not sell personal information.
Your library
Audely stores your library, artwork, notes, listening progress, queue, transcripts, and settings on your device. Folder access, absolute paths, and device-specific file locations also stay on that device. We cannot see this information.
Your audio
Your audio files are never sent to Audely. They stay in the folders you choose and are read locally for playback, organisation, and on-device podcast transcription. Audio files are never included in Audely sync or cloud backups. Removing something from Audely does not delete the original file.
If you choose a folder in iCloud Drive, iCloud Drive may move those files between your devices under your Apple Account. That iCloud Drive transfer is controlled by you and Apple, not Audely.
Transcripts
Podcast transcript generation happens on your device. Your audio is not sent to a transcription service. Apple delivers the transcription model, and you can remove the downloaded model and saved transcripts in Audely’s settings. Audiobooks are not transcribed.
Optional iCloud sync and backups
If you turn on sync, Audely stores supported library information, artwork, notes, favourites, listening progress, podcast transcripts, and supported preferences in your private iCloud account. Matching information can include original filenames, folder-relative paths, and an audio content fingerprint. Audio files, folder permissions, absolute paths, and device-specific file locations are never included. The active Now Playing item, play queue, and current playback rate remain on each device and do not sync.
If you turn on cloud backups, Audely ordinarily keeps up to five recent recovery points for that library information in your private iCloud account. A restore can temporarily add an extra safety backup until the next ordinary verified backup. A backup can also contain the creating device’s Now Playing item, play queue, and playback rate so an explicit restore can recover that session on the device that starts it. Audio files and folder access are never included.
Apple provides iCloud under your Apple Account and its privacy terms. We cannot view your private iCloud library or backups.
Purchases
Apple processes Audely Pro purchases. Audely only checks whether Pro is active so it can provide the correct features. We do not receive your payment details or Apple Account credentials.
No analytics
Audely does not record or transmit analytics events, listening history, library activity, or playback behaviour. Diagnostic logs stay on your device unless you choose to share information when contacting support.
Support and the website
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them only to respond to and investigate your request. Please do not send private library information unless it is necessary and you are comfortable sharing it.
The Audely website has no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The services needed to deliver the website receive ordinary web requests, but Audely does not use them to track or profile visitors.
Your controls
- Local information remains until you remove it, reset the library, or uninstall Audely.
- Turning off sync stops future syncing but does not delete information already in iCloud.
- Delete synced data removes Audely’s synced library information without deleting the library on that device, cloud backups, or audio files.
- Cloud backups remain until you delete them or Audely removes older ordinary recovery points beyond the latest five. A restore safety backup may temporarily make six.
- You can remove transcripts, the transcription model, folder access, and cloud backups from Audely’s settings.
- Support messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request or meet legal obligations.
Children
Audely is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent information to us, please contact us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when Audely changes. The date above identifies the current version. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected]. For other enquiries, see the Contact page.
