An organised podcast library in Audely on Mac

Frequently asked questions

Can Audely play podcast episodes I have already downloaded?

Yes. Choose a folder containing supported audio and identify it as podcasts. Audely scans the folder and organises the files into shows and episodes using their metadata, filenames, and folder structure.

Does Audely subscribe to podcast feeds?

No. Audely is designed for podcast audio files you already have. It does not follow RSS feeds or download newly published episodes from podcast services.

Does Audely copy or rewrite my podcast files?

No. Audely reads audio in the folder you choose and stores library details separately. Editing or removing an episode in Audely does not rewrite or delete the source file.

Can I listen without an internet connection?

Yes, provided the audio file is available on the device. Files stored in iCloud Drive must be downloaded before they can play offline.

Which podcast audio formats are supported?

Audely supports AAC, AIF, AIFC, AIFF, CAF, FLAC, M4A, M4B, MP3, and WAV files, along with compatible audio types recognised by the system.

Is the local podcast library free?

Yes. The free version has no limit on shows or episodes and includes playback, queueing, search, editing, favourites, notes, chapters, and library management. Audely Pro adds full transcripts, on-device transcription, sync, backups, and all themes.
