Downloaded episodes become shows and episodes with artwork, progress, queueing, speed controls, chapters, a sleep timer, favourites, and notes.
With Audely Pro, podcast transcription also runs on the device in front of you. Audiobook parts are always excluded from transcription.
Optional iCloud features remain separate
Audely Pro can sync supported library information and listening progress or create library backups through your private iCloud account. Neither feature includes source audio or folder access.

Your chosen file storage
If you deliberately place source audio in iCloud Drive, Apple may transfer it between your devices. That is the storage location you chose, not an upload performed by Audely.
Frequently asked questions
Does Audely upload my podcast files?
No. Audely reads supported audio from the local or iCloud Drive folder you choose. Source audio is never uploaded to Audely, included in Audely Pro sync, or placed in an Audely cloud backup.
Does Audely require an account?
No. Audely has no separate account, advertising, tracking, profiling, or product analytics.
Can Audely play password-protected private podcast feeds?
No. Audely does not subscribe to RSS feeds or authenticate membership feeds. It is designed for playable podcast files you can access in Files, Finder, or iCloud Drive.
Is podcast transcription private?
Yes. With Audely Pro, transcription runs on the iPhone, iPad, or Mac that starts the work. The source episode is not sent to Audely or an external transcription service.
Can a private podcast play offline?
Yes, when the source audio is stored on the current device. An iCloud Drive placeholder may still need to download before playback works without connectivity.
What does optional Audely Pro sync contain?
It can sync supported library information and listening progress through your private iCloud account. Source audio, folder permission, absolute paths, and device-specific file locations remain local.
