Your books remain yours
Audely keeps source audio and library organisation separate. You choose the folders it may read, continue managing the files yourself, and can remove a library item without deleting the audiobook.
No analytics or advertising
Audely does not track listening behaviour, profile your library, show advertising, or require a separate account.
No audiobook transcription
Audiobook parts are excluded from transcript generation on every platform, including Mac batch and automatic workflows.
Private does not mean a generic audio player
Audely keeps authors, narrators, series, books, ordered parts, embedded chapters, artwork, and complete-book progress together.
Playback speed, a sleep timer, queueing, notes, favourites, and system media controls remain available without depending on an audiobook store or Audely server.
Use local storage or iCloud Drive deliberately
A local folder keeps the source on one device. An iCloud Drive folder can make the same files visible elsewhere, but every device needs permission and must download the complete book before offline listening.
Optional library sync
Audely Pro can sync supported book information, artwork, notes, favourites, and listening progress through your private iCloud account. It never syncs the audiobook itself.
Optional cloud backups
Backups preserve supported library information rather than source books. Restoring a library does not grant a device access to the original folder.
Frequently asked questions
Does Audely upload my audiobook files?
No. Audely reads supported audio from the folder you choose. Source audiobooks are never uploaded to Audely or included in Audely Pro sync or cloud backups.
Does Audely require an audiobook account?
No. Audely has no separate account, advertising, tracking, profiling, or product analytics.
Can Audely open protected Audible or Apple Books purchases?
Not when a book remains protected inside the supplying service. Audely is designed for playable M4B, MP3, M4A, and other supported audio files you can access in Files or Finder.
Are audiobooks transcribed?
No. Audiobook parts are always excluded from Audely's transcription feature on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Can I listen to a private audiobook offline?
Yes, when every source file is stored on the current device. Download the complete book first if its folder is in iCloud Drive.
Does removing a book delete the audio?
No. Removing a book or part from Audely preserves the source file. Deleting the actual audiobook remains a separate action in Files or Finder.
