What exactly does Audely play?
Your own podcast downloads, audiobooks, archived shows, and other long-form audio. Choose folders on your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or in iCloud Drive, and Audely builds a library around them.
Does Audely move or change my files?
No. Audely reads files in place and stores its own library information separately. Library-safe removal actions preserve the original audio.
How does sync work?
Sync uses your signed-in iCloud account and private CloudKit database. Source audio and folder permissions remain device-specific and never sync.
Are transcripts generated on the device?
Yes. With Audely Pro, transcript generation runs locally on Mac, iPhone, and iPad after a model is downloaded. Source audio is never uploaded for transcription.
What does Audely Pro add?
Full transcript reading and search, on-device transcript generation, sync across your devices, versioned cloud backups in your own iCloud, and a growing set of beautiful themes. The free version stays a complete player with an unrestricted local library.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
Your library, transcript data, metadata, model, and source audio are not deleted. Pro features pause until you subscribe again. Your themes reset to the Magnolia defaults and are not restored if you subscribe again.
